EUROSOLAR was founded in 1988 as a non-profit European association for renewable energies. EUROSOLAR works out political and economic plans for action and concepts for the introduction of renewable energy sources. EUROSOLAR works for a movement, supported by a general, democratic public, in favour of solar energy. Ralos® supports the work of EUROSOLAR with its membership.
The German Society for Solar Energy (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Sonnenenergie e.V.) was founded in 1975 in Munich. Since 1989 it has at the same time been the German section of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) www.ises.org. The German Society for Solar Energy is active all over Germany. It has more than 3,000 individual members and member companies, which are organised in 36 local sections (www.dgs.de/51.0.html) and 5 regional sections (www.dgs.de/88.0.html).
Seven expert committees operate within the German Society for Solar Energy www.dgs.de/94.0.html, dealing with different subjects. Their knowledge allows the German Society for Solar Energy to also be able to participate actively and capably in technical discussions.
The German Association for the Promotion of Solar Power (SFV) is sustained by approx. 2,500 members and thereby guarantees its financial independence. The SFV pursues the association aims with public relations work, technical information and exemplary projects. On its homepage, the SFV offers an extensive service for operators of solar plants. One can also order a newsletter there. The solar power yields of more than 4,000 PV plants can be analysed using a databank. We recommend to every operator of a solar energy plant that they register their plant there.
Metropolsolar e.V. was founded in May 2006 as a network and has now grown to have a membership of approx. 140. MetropolSolar Rhein-Neckar campaigns for a complete changeover to renewable energy sources. This means the replacement of atomic and fossil-fuel energy through energy efficiency, energy-saving and the extension of the use of renewable energy sources.
